Description:

A National Historic Landmark completed in 1819, the Owens-Thomas House is one of the country's finest examples of English Regency architecture. The house rests on the former site of the colonial residences of the surveyor general of both South Carolina and Georgia and today the home is owned by the Telfair Academy of Arts & Sciences. Located adjacent to Ogelthorpe Square, the house is just north of the Colonial Park Cemetery.
