I've had a completely different exerience with Barkie Bow Wow's. I've been twice. The first time I just had to wait for my dogs for about a half hour after my agreed pick-up time. The second time was a nightmare! I myself was running late to their pick up, by about 45 minutes to an hour. I asked to use the restroom and was allowed to the back where the washing took place. I found my friends dog, who I was also supposed to pick up just being put in the wash sink, and a huge back up of dogs on the floor and in cages all around. I then continued to walk into the back section where the "bed and biscuit was to find those dogs on laying on the cold concrete floor in a dark room. On my way out I saw my two chihuahua's shivering in "drying cages" with a box fan in front of them. Anyone who owns chihuahuas knows that you can't do that, they must be towelled dried or blow dried, and groomers know that as well. I continued to wait for another 30 minutes(and hour and a half after the pick-up time) just for when they brought out my dogs, my girl dog had a bandana wrapped so tightly around her neck I could not fit my little finger underneath to get it off, I had to rip it off and a couple of her toe nails were trimmed too short then continue to bleed on my clothes and car seats for the entire ride home. No doubt their operation is one of the most poorly planned, poorly organized operations in Savannah. They overbook, but cannot follow through so the animals suffer, they also do not seem to take into consideration the breed they are dealing with. To the review posted before mine, your dog is probably happy to see everyone.

Found this place on the internet. We always travel w/ our 3 French Bulldogs and we found the folks at BBW's to be quite accomodating to our pets' very demanding diets. They obviously love what they do here, and our pets were quite happy and comfortable to be there. We picked them up after they had been "fluffed and puffed" w/ Georgia Bulldog bandannas on! We will be back!

I've been boarding and grooming my dogs here for years and Barbara and company have made sure they are well takend care of and they just love love coming here. My pets jump up and lick and kiss Miss Barbara every time they come into the shop and follow her right into the back and don't even say goodbye to me! I guess they like it here! I do.
