Savannah Christian Church is a Mega Church. You either get lost in the shuffle or trod forward trying as you live, learn, and grow through Christ. The leaders are judgmental hypocrites, and they don't even realize it. I went through some very trying times and never received any support from the Church. My griefs with SCC: 1. When I was a young High School student begging for some help and guidance, the Youth Group asked me not participate because of my sin. 2. I came back to SCC to worship with my parents while my husband was in Iraq and their Military Ministry was only a gossip group made only to make Officer wives and young wives feel ostracized. Oh that isn't completely true, they also pushed Pampered Chef on you. 3. I worked at their PreSchool Program, determined not to judge the Church by a few people. It was awful! Run by incompetents with no concern for their Teacher's welfare. I was bitten numerous times by a student. Then the leaders gossiped about me and said hurtful things about my past, my marriage, and the way I dressed (My husband bought me a Gucci bag for our anniversary, and though I never mentioned it to any of them, they continuously made comments about it.). 4. Their Church budget for 2008 was over 8 million dollars. Very few of those dollars went to local Charities. Wonder how much went into the pockets of their many pastors? 5. If you work for any part of the Church, no matter how remotely, you must sign a contract that is by Christian and America's law wrong. -You cannot associate with Homosexuals. You cannot drink any alcohol. -You cannot curse at all. -You cannot see R rated movies. -You cannot be with a member of the opposite gender not your family or spouse alone. Any many, many more. This is an awful Church that does not have Christ as it's center.

We attended church there for several years. Was one of the original families when they launched the east campus. My mother in law started to attend with us. She unfortunately passed away, and we informed several people from the church about this. Not a single card, phone call, or a word came our way. We were so hurt that our "family in Christ" wouldn't open their hearts when we needed them most. We stopped going to church there. 8 months later we ran into a supposed "friend" and she said that she had been missing us (referring to "not seeing us in the crowd") at church. We told her we stopped going there about 8 months ago. She said, "Oh, i didn't know you stopped attending, I just thought we were missing each other between services." Too big, you get lost in the crowd, and no attention to parishioners personal needs.

my husband and I were asked not to attend as is because they thought she was a distraction. Just make sure your sin is pride like theirs or you won't fit into the great church mold.
