terrible experience

Posted by barkleyhogghightower on 7/7/2009

I had a terrible experience here- to the point that I had to go and see my dermatologist because I had broken out in a rash after my facial. Upon further examination and after all of my stress I later found out from multiple peole that this is the norm and that this spa is considered the worst in Savannah. I have found another spa I love- and will continue to vote with my wallet (and with my reviews) which is all I can do. The owner Celeste was rude and dismissive when I tried to reach out to her about my rash and the lack of experience my esthetician had- so I have no choice but to leatn from my mistake and hope that other people don't choose this terrible place.

Never Returned Call

Posted by kricket1 on 12/17/2008

I called on Monday @ 4 in the afternoon. So it was within business hours. A recording came on that they were assisting others and to leave a message. Which I did. I repeated my name and telephone # twice and asked for a couples massage for Saturday (our anniversary). It's now Thursday 4 days later and no one has called. Obviously getting business is not important to them. Since there are plenty of other spas in Savannah I will be booking with one of them.

Loved the whole thing

I had quite a delightful afternoon. Will see you again soon. And I would recommend you anytime!

HORRIBLE HAIRCUT/HIGHLIGHTS - NOT WORTH A FRACTION OF THE COST - NONRESPONSIVE MGMT

Posted by MizzEve on 10/10/2008

First, the parking is horrible. This is a spa, not a salon. I did not know that before booking a full day of appointments, which culminated with a hair cut and highlights. I was charged for top-notch hair services, but received the worst haircut and highlighting that I have ever experienced. The poor girl that cut my hair was extremely nice, but way out of her league. She simply did not have the competence to work on her own without master stylist supervision. I was made to miss my dinner plans because the stylist had to spend two hours trying to fix her mistakes. Also, she cut my hair dry!!!! Who does that to straight hair? I called a few days later to speak with the management about getting another haircut from someone else in an attempt to make myself even somewhat presentable. The manager transferred me to the owner, who told me that she would call me right back. It's been over two weeks and still no call. I will never go back to this spa. Horrible stylists, horrible management, horrible owner. On the upside, you can have a mimosa if you *ask* for it.

Very Bad

Posted by spaloveryes on 9/26/2008

I was at Savannah Day Spa on September 27, 2007 for a wedding party. It was horrible! We came in the moring and the girls at the front desk were very nice but you could tell that there was chaos and nobody knew what was going on! My massage was very nice but it was in a room with laser equipment and a tanning booth that was very SMELLY! The room was over crowded not only with the laser equipment but tanning supples and other large pieces of equipment. I don't know who Ricky is but there were many certificates on the wall for attendance to a laser class. I was there for a massage and a pedicure. The rooms were very loud. At one point while our group was getting ready to leave, I was leaving the restroom and heard the manager, Ken, who had helped us all along yelling in a back room at his employees. He walked passed me and almost knocked me down. He didn't even look at me. It was loud, the massage room was permeated with horrible aeresol smells and the service was terrible. It was not worth the money or my time. I was with a party so did not raise a fuss but I will NEVER return.
